Fair Work Act Targets Accounting Firms - Webinar Update - Wednesday 9th November 2011
As many accounting firms and their clients will attest, the Fair Work act has created a new workplace relations environment in Australia. No firm can afford to ignore the effect of Fair Work in decisions relation to recruitment and retention of staff. More recently, the accounting profession itself has been targeted by the Fair Work Ombudsman's Professional Services Compliance Program. Whilst it is not expected that accounting firms should have the internal capability to offer advice to their clients on workplace issues, it is important that they know where to go to get this advice. On Wednesday 9th November, David Bates, Managing Director of Workforce Guardian and an employment law expert will participate in a webinar to discuss how Fair Work is affecting accounting firms and their clients. Some of the key issues to be discussed will include employment contracts, internal HR policies and procedures and performance management.
