In today’s competitive business environment, budget-oriented planning or forecast-based financial planning methods are insufficient for a business to survive and prosper. The business must engage in strategic planning that clearly defines objectives and assess both the internal and external situation to formulate and implement strategy, evaluate progress and make adjustments to stay on track.
